Step 1: Get Clear on What You Don’t Want

Most people try to figure out their dream life while still surrounded by things that drain them.

So start here:

  • What makes you feel heavy, stuck, or resentful?

  • What goals or habits have you been chasing just because you “should”?

Write them down.
Let them go.
Clarity begins with subtraction.


Step 2: Look at What Lights You Up

Think back on moments when you felt most energized, present, or excited—even if they were small.

  • What were you doing?

  • Who were you with?

  • What part of you came alive in that moment?

These aren’t random—they’re breadcrumbs.


Step 3: Ask the “Day in the Life” Question

Instead of asking “What do I want to do with my life?”
Ask:

“What do I want a normal Tuesday to feel like?”

Do you want freedom? Structure? Creativity? Community?

Zooming in on your ideal day-to-day gives you a much clearer target than trying to define a perfect end goal.


Step 4: Follow the Desire, Not the Label

Don’t worry about naming your dream job or perfect niche.

Instead, focus on the feeling you’re after.

“I want to feel energized, confident, and proud of how I spend my time.”

Once you know that—you can build a life that delivers it, no matter what path you choose.


Step 5: Commit to Clarity as a Practice

Clarity isn’t a one-time journal session.
It’s something you return to—over and over again—as you evolve.

So stop waiting until you have it all figured out.

Start moving in the direction that feels most aligned today.

The next step will reveal itself.
