How to Feel Worthy (Even When You’re Not Feeling It)
Let’s be real—feeling worthy isn’t exactly something we’re born knowing how to do.
Most of us have to work at it, especially when we’ve been conditioned to believe that our worth is tied to achievements, relationships, or how productive we are.
Spoiler alert: your worth is not negotiable. It’s there, baked into your existence, whether you’re crushing your goals or binge-watching reality TV in your pajamas.
So, if you’re ready to stop questioning your worth and start owning it, grab a journal, pour yourself a comforting drink, and let’s dive in.
Step 1: Know This Truth
You are inherently worthy—full stop.
You don’t have to earn it, prove it, or wait until you’ve “arrived” somewhere to feel it.
Ask yourself this:
What makes babies worthy of all the love and attention and money and loss of sleep we give them? - nothing... it's just because they are!
Now ask yourself... When do we lost that worthiness?? (Hint: You don't)
Step 2: Make Worthiness Your Vibe
Your mantra for today (and every day):
"I am worthy of living my dream life."
Say it. Write it. Put it on a sticky note. Whisper it to your reflection while brushing your teeth. Make this affirmation part of your mental playlist, right between Taylor Swift and SZA lyrics.
Step 3: Journal It Out
If your brain starts pulling the “but am I really worthy?” card, let’s shut that down with some powerful journaling.
Grab your journal and answer the following prompts:
-
What do I want to be in life?
Example: I want to be confident, creative, and free.
Follow-up affirmation:
"I am worthy of being confident, creative, and free." -
What do I want to do in life?
Example: Travel the world, write a book, build a thriving business.
Follow-up affirmation:
"I am worthy of doing all these things and more." -
What do I want to have in life?
Example: A peaceful home, loving relationships, financial stability.
Follow-up affirmation:
"I am worthy of having a peaceful home, loving relationships, and financial stability."
BONUS (for those who want to get an A+):
Journal a complete page of "I am worthy" affirmations
Step 4: Keep It Real
Here’s the deal: You’re not always going to feel 10/10 about yourself.
Life happens. Mistakes happen.
Sometimes, it feels like everyone else has it all together while you’re Googling how to boil an water. That’s okay!
Your worthiness isn’t based on how you feel in the moment—it’s constant.
Step 5: Take Aligned Action
Feeling worthy isn’t just a mindset—it’s a practice.
What’s one small thing you can do today that says, "I am worth it"?
Maybe it’s saying no to something that drains you, investing in yourself, or finally getting around to that bubble bath you’ve been “saving for later.”
Step 6: When in Doubt, Repeat
When those sneaky feelings of unworthiness creep back in, remind yourself of this simple truth:
You are worthy simply because you exist.
Mantra: "I am worthy because I exist"
You don’t have to do anything special to deserve love, success, or joy. You already deserve it. Period.
